The town of Benidorm is located in the Spanish region of Alicante on the Costa Blanca.
Situated 60 kilometres north of Alicante's El Altet airport, Benidorm is easily accessible, particularly to the British market. Flying time from London is two hours and fifteen minutes.
Benidorm is capable of accommodating 5 million visitors a year, it is literally bursting with life - for families, couples and singles alike.
Benidorm has a youthful and pulsating nightlife with many discos and nightclubs, endless bars and fine restaurants. Here you can party till dawn. Benidorm has two crescent shaped beaches (the Levante and Poniente beaches) with golden sand that is always well cared for and clean. You can also sample a terrific international show at the world renowned Benidorm Palace. There is a bus service to and from Benidorm and taxis are available at very reasonable rates.
Within a few minutes drive of the townhouse is the La Marina shopping complex - including the Carrefour hypermarket.
The nearby quaint town of Finestrat is typical of traditional Spain with its Mediterranean architecture and with beautiful views from the mountains to the sea. When walking the streets of Finestrat it is easy to feel the influence of the Moorish occupation centuries ago.
Friday is market day in Finestrat and in the Cala de Finestrat on the coast. During the summer there is an art and crafts market in the afternoon on the seafront promenade. There are fiestas going on throughout the year - with the most important Fiestas Patronales, dedicated to the Santísimo Cristo del Remedio, taking place on 24 August.The Cala de Finestrat is the coast and beach area with crystal clear water and fine sand caressing the coast of Finestrat.
